The Low's are here and prepared! See you next year.

Eatin with my Big Bro at the beach 2006

Our normal trek to the beach, tradition was layed many moons ago, and we eat a buffet dinner at the Crabber's Cove, Dewey Beach, DE. We were delighted to have a new addition to the clan. Lana's sister and husband and little one. We hope they can make the trek next year and hope we can have other family members too.

Cool city lights

Nativity Scene from the Rockettes show 2006

Picture didn't come out clear but you get the idea. Couple of the sheep where real and the camels were fake but during the lead up to this scene the camels were real. Watch out for the doo doo! It was neat

Hey! Need a cab here!

Collin and Annika where helping us hail a cab back to the hotel. But of course, we were trying to get on during the afternoon rush. Come to find out cabbies make the money in volumn. Therefore alot of them asked where we needed to go and we wanted to go 70 blocks south and once they heard that they drove on pass. The nerve! The rule is, once you get in, they have to take you to your destination.

Radio City Music Hall at Night

Piggybacked through Chinatown

Uncle Brett had the delightful task of carrying Annika. The only question here is "who's the slave labor now?!!!"

Collin dancing on the keys like Tom Hanks

We stopped by FAO Schwartz on 5th Ave near the bottom of Central Park. It was raining like cats and dogs the kids were troopers walking the blocks in the rain! This place was a zoo! Pretty much shoulder to shoulder walking through the place. Collin here was stomping on the keys. He was having a ball.

David Blaine the street magician

David Blaine was hanging in a gyroscope for charity. He had dared Target if they would let 50 underprivileged kids have a shopping spree. In return, he would hang in a gyroscope for 2 days with Targets adverts everywhere. I guess they took the dare. Pretty neat it was like being at a carnival. This was down the street near Times Square.

Annika wanting to ice skate at Rockerfeller Ctr

Annika was wanting to ice skate but the line was forever. The scaffolding in the background was being dismantled because the Christmas tree was finished. This is where NBC Studios are located.

Annika being a goof

Annika in Midtown Manhattan waiting for Collin to finish his dog. Just up the street was David Letterman's studio.

Annika at Radio City Music Hall

We were delighted to see the Rockettes perform the "Christmas Spectacular" They performed the toy soldier scene, live animals were part of the Nativity scene, had 3D scenes, Nutcracker suite, and much more. You would have to be there to appreciate the choreography and production that's involved. Annika in her beauty, smiles with delight from seeing the show!

Uncle Brett showing Annika the 2 step

The Bjork family was our tour guide NYC. Brett waited for us at the hotel to arrive whilst Sir Ben (Collins classmate) was getting his helmet cut at the salon. Sir Ben gets one hair cut a year and it gets cut in NYC. Brett took us to Chinatown he said it was close by...9 blocks later four blocks over we were in Chinatown. We didn't know what "close by" meant in New York terms. hahaa. During our walk Brett showed Annika the 2 step!

Ground zero WTC.

Our hotel where we stayed was at Ground Zero of the World Trade Center. Really nuts to see the big hole were the towers fell. It was surreal! Here is the pic from our hotel window. The subway was in operation on the bottom right (not in picture) and along the fence there were actual photos of that day.

New York! New York! New York!

Big city fun this Thanks Giving in Times Square 2006! Easy ride up to the city thanks to E-Z Pass. Place was hopping mad but everybody was nice. The main question was, where was everyone going! The kids were great troopers...we walked and walked and walked....and walked!
